Service Description

BY SELECTING THIS COURSE, YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR THE ACLS SKILLS SESSION ONLY. The self-directed, comprehensive eLearning Heartcode ACLS course consists of realistic patient scenarios via eLearning simulation which allow students to assess and provide treatment to patients in virtual healthcare settings. To begin the course, students must complete the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 in-hospital patient cases, which include one BLS case and two megacode cases, which may be repeated as many times as necessary to receive a passing score. If this is your very first time taking ACLS, we suggest you register for the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Initial Course. You must purchase and complete the online course before attending the hands-on skills session. After you have completed part 1 of the online portion of the ACLS course, print the certificate and bring it with you to present to your instructor on the day of your skills session. **IMPORTANT COURSE NOTES: ^Online Supplemental Course Required BEFORE attending in-person instruction ^Visit COURSE LINKS TAB for link to register for ACLS Online Supplemental Course ^Review complete refund policy under FAQ tab Students must pass the online exam with a score of 84% or higher to qualify and attend the hands-on skills session that is required to fulfill the course completion requirements. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SKILLS SESSION This skills session will cover the practical component required by the American Heart Association (AHA) to receive your ACLS provider card. After presenting your certificate of completion to your instructor for the online portion of the course, students will then practice skills before testing. Following this opportunity to practice, your instructor will then test your skills by asking you to perform scenarios without any assistance or intervention from the instructor. Your American Heart Association certification card will be given to you the same day after successfully completing the training and is valid for 2 years.
